The Orchard Road is a 2.2 kilometer-long street and is known as the retail and entertainment hub of Singapore. Other than being a major tourist attraction, it is also the most popular shopping community in the city-state. The surrounding area is known as Orchard partly because the MRT station that serves the vicinity is also called as such.
